On July 30, 2015 Sesame Place officially turns 35 years old. While it pains me a little to be older than the nation's only theme park based entirely on the award winning show, Sesame Street - I'm happy that I get to bring Norrin to a place I always wanted to visit as a kid. I love seeing the look on his face as he meets his favorite characters. (Like in this picture, that I captured of Norrin and Joseph.) Today was perfect for opening day! It was so warm and sunny, Ihad a hard time keeping up with Norrin. He especially loved jumping around the Monster Clubhouse. The water rides weren't open but we still had so much fun. We rode on our favorite rides - like the Monster Mix-up twice, played few games at the Sesame Playhouse and snacked on cookies, ice cream and popcorn.
Since Sesame Place is turning 35 - it's all about birthdays this year. For the first time ever Sesame Place will be decked out with bright balloons, garland, an inflatable birthday cake and jumbo candles lining the way to the Sesame Neighborhood. All over the park, there are photos of characters with their birthdays Sesame Place characters are even dolled up in their birthday best.

This is a year long birthday bash you will not want to miss!
And how can I forget - there's a NEW Neighborhood Birthday Party Parade and a brand new toe-tapping birthday song. For the very first time, we got to see the entire Parade. Typically Norrin won't sit through it but we found a great spot and he was smiles the whole time.
