The Line Hotel: LA | #WeAllGrow Summit #WAGPhoto

Having a kid with autism, I've learned to think visually and outside of the box. I've appreciated the art of storytelling in different ways. While I may be a writer at heart, photos tell a different kind of story. While at the #WeAllGrow conference I had the chance to attend the Smartphone Photography Tour. Pictures can mean more than anything else.

I love posting pictures on Instagram. The walking workshop led @theartmuse (Rachel Matos) and @darielacruz - was interesting and they challenged me to really think before clicking and posting. I used both my iPhone 5S and my Samsung Galaxy II to take pictures.

Norrin and I can't/don't do much together as mother and son but he likes taking pictures. And it's another way for us to bond. I took plenty of pictures to show him. And I hope one day he will understand what I do and why.

Our first stop was the bar to take note of the still life. The bar can be the busiest places at night but during the day, it's peaceful and filled with texture, shape and unassuming beauty.

POT is the hotspot of The Line Hotel. I know this because everyone kept telling me and because Beyonce showed up one evening for dinner. I saw the back of her as she stomped her way in.

I wish I had more time in LA to enjoy this view. I took this photo lounging poolside. I wasn't wearing a bath suit...I'm still scared from last year. (I was wearing leggings and a denim jacket.) Besides it was too "cold" to go swimming.

I loved so much about LA, The Line Hotel and attending #WeAllGrow Summit. But I really loved this mural. I mean - it's the ultimate side-eye. How can I not love it?

I've shared more photos from my LA trip for the #WeAllGrow Summit on Instagram - follow me at @Laliquin to see more - including pictures of  my inspiring blogging buddy.
