One of my favorite pastimes is watching cooking shows. And one of my favorite celebrity chefs is Marcus Samuelsson. I love his style (he's a snazzy dresser) and admire his quiet confidence. He just seems like a laid back guy who has fun in the kitchen. Now I'm not a cook; I cook for necessity not for passion. But I like the process, I like the blend of ingredients and learning little tricks to make cooking easier. And I believe that good food can be simply made - without a lot of fancy gadgets.
My favorite time of year to cook is the holiday season. I love making big meals for my loved ones. And every holiday, I try to make something new.
Impress your friends and family at your next holiday gathering with new recipes from our very own Macy's Culinary Council Chef Marcus Samuelsson. Learn from the master chef himself as he shows how to prepare some of his favorite award-winning holiday dishes. The best part? There'll be plenty of scrumptious samples to enjoy.

I will be definitely be in attendance because I like Marcus, I like food and I love to learn. Come join me!
After I'll do a little shopping. I could use serving plates and I'm a sucker for cookware and gadgets. With a purchase of $35* or more in the Home department customers will receive a $10 Macy's gift card, a special gift, and a copy of Marcus' book, Marcus Off Duty. I will need to keep that in mind since it's the only way to meet Marcus and have him sign my book**!
