Summer is my favorite season and I'm ready to rock dresses and sandals. (I know, I know - it's kinda blah outside today...) But I am in serious vacation planning mode right now. And part of planning is what I'm going to wear on our Disney vacation.
While shopping for a bathing suit hasn't been easy, I've had much better luck with clothes. I don't typically blog about clothes but I've treated myself to a few new things and I'm excited about my trip so I thought I'd share my ideal spring/summer travel outfit.
The Denim Jacket: I love my denim jacket from The Gap and I wear it whenever I can. I like having extra layers because it gets cold on the plane.
The Scarf: I have a thing about scarves. I always have to have one with me (my neck gets cold) even on the hottest of days. I tend to like scarves in bright colors and/or fun patterns.
The Dress: I. LOVE. THIS. DRESS. I love Gap. And this dress is perfect for me. It's lightweight and comfortable. I like that I can slip it on and not have to do anything else. And high low dresses always make me feel super feminine.
The Bag: I've had this MARC by Marc Jacobs tote for a while. In fact it came with me on our last Disney vacation. And I'm bringing it again. It's light and holds all of my crap stuff. The side pockets are great for my iPhone and camera. It's one of my favorite bags.
The Shoes: I spotted these Sam Edelman "Gigi" sandals at the end of last summer and couldn't find them in my size. Joseph bought them for me as my Mother's Day gift and I can't wait to put them on. They're great because I can slip them on and off. They're cute, comfortable and it's a color that can go with anything.
The Bracelet: I love big bracelets and bangles. When it comes to clothes - I tend to stick to basics. I wear a lot of black, navy, and other neutral colors. But when it comes to accessories - I like bold colors to brighten my outfit.
What's your ideal travel outfit? And if you're hippy gal like me and wear shorts - please tell me where you find them. I'd like to have at least one pair as an alternative option.
