It's still cold in New York and I'm about ready to burn my boots and winter coat. I'm not asking for an 85 degree day, I'd be happy with a solid 50. I just want to wear one layer of clothes as opposed to five. I want to slip on a cute pair of ballet flats and run out the door. I want to do my hair without flattening my curls because I have to wear a hat. If it's warm where you are, I don't want to hear about it. It will only make me jealous.

I'm reading Rosie Perez' memoir, Handbook for an Unpredictable Life: How I survived Sister Renata and My Crazy Mother and Still Came Out Smiling (with great hair). I have always liked Rosie Perez. And reading Rosie's (I'm just going to call her Rosie) memoir only makes me have so much more respect for her. She keeps it real. She owns who she is, where she comes from and doesn't use it as an excuse. She's genuine. And I like that Rosie doesn't have to keep reminding us all that she's genuine and that she's still the same person. (Unlike another Puerto Rican celebrity who shall remain nameless.) Once I finish it, I'll share my review here.

I started an #EverydayAutism photo-a-day challenge on Instagram. It would have been easy to start this in April but I wanted to begin in March because Autism Awareness is every day for me. I wanted to show social media what autism looks like for different families. And I am so pleased with the engagement! Today is Day 7 - ART - and this is what I shared. Norrin loves Despicable Me and so he drew a picture of the Minions.
